Ana Pinto-Alexander

Ana currently serves as a principal and director of HKS’ global health practice where she leads the firm’s health interior design practice globally.

With more than 34 years of experience, Ana has designed interiors for most progressive hospitals in the U.S, many of which are on American News and World Report “Best Hospitals” list, including Intermountain Healthcare, Riley Hospital for Children at IU Health, and Cleveland Clinic.

In 2009, Ana was recognized as one of the “25 Most Influential People in Healthcare Design” and “One of 20 Making a Difference” by the editors of Healthcare Design Magazine.

Ana's extensive research in healthcare design anchors her belief that healing environments can improve the hospital experience for the patients, families, and staff.

She speaks nationally and internationally on the importance of the built environment in the way people live their lives.

The recipient of numerous awards, her work has been featured in American and international healthcare and design publications including Healthcare Design, Metropolis, and Health Facilities Management.
